Terms of Use

These Terms are an agreement between you and WANG XIAOHANG ("Lightvessel," "we," or "us") governing the Lightvessel mobile app. By using the app, you agree to these Terms and Apple's applicable standard licensed application terms.
1. What Lightvessel is
Lightvessel provides AI-generated emotional companionship. It is not a medical device, therapist, crisis service, or provider of diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice. AI responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Do not rely on the app for emergencies.
If you may harm yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis service immediately. You can locate regional resources at findahelpline.com.
2. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 17, or older if local law requires. You sign in with Apple and are responsible for the security of the associated Apple Account. You may delete your Lightvessel account in the app's Settings. Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
3. Free use and subscriptions
The app includes a limited number of free AI conversations and offers monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock the features shown on the purchase screen. The App Store purchase sheet displays the applicable price, currency, duration, and taxes before confirmation.
If Apple determines that you are eligible, a subscription may include a three-day free introductory trial. Trial eligibility is limited by Apple to eligible accounts in the subscription group. If you are not eligible, billing starts when you confirm the purchase. If eligible, billing starts when the trial ends unless canceled beforehand.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current trial or billing period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel at Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Canceling prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund the current period. Refund requests are handled by Apple.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the app unlawfully; threaten, exploit, or harm others; attempt unauthorized access; disrupt the service; reverse engineer it where prohibited; or use it to create illegal content or content that exploits minors. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.
5. Content and privacy
You retain rights in text you submit. You grant us the limited permission needed to process it and provide the service. AI output is provided for your personal use subject to law and any third-party rights. Our Privacy Policy explains data handling. You may report unsafe or inappropriate output in the app.
6. Availability and disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, ACCURATE, OR APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES RIGHTS OR LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE EXCLUDED.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data or profits, arising from use of the app. Mandatory consumer protections continue to apply.
8. Changes, termination, and law
We may update the app or these Terms. We will update the date above or provide notice for material changes. You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access for a material violation. These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without limiting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
9. Apple
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries and may enforce these Terms.
